2022 will see the 15th edition

First shadows ahead

Everything back to normal! Classically, next year the iXS Dirt Masters will take place in May again. The biggest Gravity Festival in Europe returns to Winterberg for the fifteenth year and delivers four days of action and excitement with an outstanding line-up.

As in previous years, over 1,500 athletes from all over the world are expected to compete in a wide variety of disciplines. In 2019, the last year before Corona, almost 40,000 spectators strolled through the Bikepark Winterberg and were inspired by the spectacle. But even in the pandemic, three-day version of the festival in September 2021, around 20,000 visitors celebrated the festival.

For 15 years now, the festival has been anchored in the beautiful Hochsauerland district. With its varied tracks, the Bikepark Winterberg has been the perfect venue since the very beginning. The Winterberg region is also packed with trails, tours and bike-friendly accommodation.

"We consider MTB in general to be immensely important for our holiday region. In addition, this Dirt Masters Festival theme fits perfectly into our tourism concept and our orientation as an active holiday region for different age groups." - Christian Klose, Tourism Promoter Winterberg

In the bike industry, the date in May has long been a fixed part of the event calendar and the mood for 2022 is very positively charged. After 15 years, the Swiss cult brand iXS is still the festival's namesake and actively supports the event.

At the various races and contests that take place during the festival, the athletes deliver a lot of action and thus manage to make the atmosphere unique. Several thousand fans cheer on the action at the competitions and experience veritable flights of fancy with the participants. Festival visitors are rarely as knowledgeable as they are at the iXS Dirt Masters, which also pleases the top-class exhibitors from the MTB industry in the large Expo Area.
